Atmosphere is brilliant get to have a laugh. Making sure the order is right pipping hot food wonderful service. Recommended highly yes it a very busy place. The staff do their best many time's. "Went to George’s fish & chips on melton road around 2:00 so wasn’t busy , couple of people waiting for their order Got us large meal which includes fish& chips only for £11.95 and 1 children meal ( 2 small fish and small chips & added peas with it around £6 ( just edited this message apparently you get a bottle of fruit juice or water ) with the kids meal Food was fresh , warm and the guy who served me helped me with placing the right meals I wanted as the menu is quiet big & on a board over the till Lovely food , recommend buying from them"

"Hidden gem really. Found this when waiting for Keyworth bus which flew past before scheduled time ffs. Best chippy I have tasted so far with such crispy chips and flavourful fish. Quick and friendly service too, unlike my local one which always took far too long and bland. Kudos to the staff who is highly attentive of everyone in the store to get their orders! It’s so good that we return the second time to get more!"

"One of my colleagues recommends George’s to us and she said it is one of the best local fish and chip shops in Nottingham... We ordered 1 large and 1 small ocean wild cod and we got to choose between beans, peas or gravy ...!! ⭐ The fish was still hot and crispy when we arrived home !! Excellent taste of the cod,, and the chips was not oily.. Onion Gravy was smooth and not too thick!!
